Nomination of Driver or Person in Control

Used by a vehicle owner or registered operator to nominate the actual driver or person in control at the time of the alleged infringement, transferring liability and demerit points to that person.

Notification of the outcome of a nomination: 07a confirms a successful nomination; 07b advises that the nomination was unsuccessful.

Written submission disputing an infringement notice — for example on grounds of mistaken identity, a procedural defect, or that the infringement did not occur.

Notification by the infringer alleging suspect or false prosecution.

Notification to Pay in Instalments

Application to pay the penalty and associated fees in instalments, as permitted under section 19B of the Act.

Confirmation of Instalment Arrangement

Confirmation to the infringer that an instalment payment arrangement has been accepted.

Notification of Dishonoured Instalment

Notification that an instalment payment has been dishonoured, triggering further consequences under the Act.

Notification acknowledging that a partial payment has been received.

Enforcement Orders

Courtesy Letter

Courtesy letter issued when an infringer has not responded to the original infringement notice. Payment of the penalty plus the courtesy-letter fee is required within 28 days.

Enforcement Order

Formal enforcement order issued by the Registrar when an infringer fails to respond to a courtesy letter. All penalties and fees become immediately payable.

Application for Revocation of an Enforcement Order

Application to have an enforcement order revoked.

Notification of Result — Revocation of Enforcement Order

Notification of the outcome of an application for revocation of an enforcement order.

Demerit Points & Licence Suspension

Notification of Demerit Point Allocation

Notification to the infringer that demerit points have been recorded against their licence, PrDP or operator card.

Notification — Suspensions and/or Cancellations

Notification to the infringer of a suspension or cancellation of their driving licence, professional driving permit (PrDP) or operator card.

Notification that a suspension or cancellation of a driving licence, PrDP or operator card has been revoked.

Application for Return of Suspended Driving Licence / PrDP / Operator Card

Application submitted after a suspension period ends to have a surrendered driving licence, PrDP or operator card returned.

Proof of Documents Surrendered

Proof issued to an infringer confirming that their driving licence, PrDP or operator card has been surrendered for the duration of the suspension.

Form authorising access to a person's demerit points history held in the National Road Traffic Offences Register.

Appeals Tribunal

Application of Appeal

Application to the AARTO Appeals Tribunal, lodged after an unsuccessful representation. Must be submitted within 30 days of the Representations Officer's decision, together with the prescribed fee.

Notification that the appeal application (Form 10A) has not been completed correctly and must be resubmitted.
